OK so there is always a story within a story. Yesterday we photographed the wedding of a beautiful couple; Cynthia and Pat. Their story is an interesting one from how they met to the very unique and beautiful wedding dress she was wearing (J. Crew). The ring was unique (and very beautiful). One of the great things about being a wedding photographer is all the wonderful people you get to meet. It is so interesting listening to the various stories as you meet family and friends throughout the day. In this case I have known the Father of the Bride (George Cole) for a few years now and on occasion have met him and Sue out and around town. On occasion, I have actually worked beside George and have heard him often speak proudly of his family. Well yesterday I got to meet all of them and learned a whole lot more about my friend George.
As the bride was getting dressed I spotted a few photos on the wall, one of which was George on his wedding day…..turns out he was married at The Shadow Lawn Inn (a few years ago) and yesterday his oldest daughter Cynthia was having her wedding reception there. So I thought (and so did he) that it might be cool to have the newlyweds pose the same way that he and his bride did on their wedding day. Well we did that and that image turned out great but I think this image from yesterday tells a great story too. How cool is this…..side by side images taken at the exact same location some (and I am sorry I do not recall the number) 25+/- years later.
Looking at these two picture I can see a few years on my pal George (really only the hair color) but Sue…………..you are timeless!!!
