Janet and Bruce

Hot!  Hot!!  Hot!!!  That is what this Saturday was.  But I’m not complaining!!  I can work with a little heat (32ºC).  I much prefer it to the rain!  It was an absolutely fabulous day!  The bdf team was out in full force for the wedding of Janet and Bruce.  Not only were Beaver and I out, but we each had help today. What a treat that was!  Nancy and Beaver started their day off with Janet and the girls and Jenn and I headed to Sussex to meet up with Bruce and the boys.  It was hot but the guys were great sports.  I have to admit I did take it easy on them.  We didn’t do any of the “formal” shots.  No jackets required today!  When time allows, I do like to shoot one on one with the groom.  I was so pleased to get this shot of Bruce.  I think every bride needs a shot of her handsome groom on their big day!Bruce

But I have to admit, Bruce wasn’t the only handsome guy there.  Check out Owen…in his hands the key to my heart!  LOL!  Seriously though, the keys were to the tractor.  After pictures he was allowed to go check out the tractor!  He kept the keys close by as collateral! owen2

And here’s a shot of all the men together. The boys

And as I was getting ready to do some individual shots of Bruce, Owen snuck into the scene.  I couldn’t pass up this cute shot!Owen1

And we can’t forget the details.  How about a peek at Janet’s beautiful wedding ring?the ring

We soon called it a day with Bruce and the guys.  It was just too hot and I didn’t need to wear them out now…there would be plenty of time for more pictures later.  Jenn and I took the scenic route to St. Martin’s.  I love traveling the back roads of New Brunswick. There are so many hidden gems along the way.  When we arrived, we took some detail shots around the grounds.  They are great shots….and they are on Jenn’s camera…….  Actually also on Jenn’s camera are some shots of Bruce with his classic car.  *sigh*  I shouldn’t say classic…it’s a car of the 80′s…if that’s classic then I must be almost antique!

The ceremony was lovely.  It was held in the gazebo in back of the information centre on Main Street.  I always go through all my pictures before I do a blog post.  I quickly pick my favourites and post about them and try to use them to tell the story of the day.  They say a picture is worth a thousand words…well this next picture speaks volumes to me.  I know, photography is personal.  People will like and dislike images for any number of reasons.  But sometimes, you just fall in love with a picture for no reason; or at least a reason that you can’t verbalize or communicate to someone else.  I could try I suppose.  But I read recently that if you have to explain your pictures, well you’re just not doing your job right as a photographer.  This next image just evokes emotion in me.  It’s all about love.  The love of a woman for her man.  I hope you like it too.favourite

After the ceremony we crossed the street to another park.  There were red rocks that coloured the water there red.  We found a shady spot and captured some images of the couple. redrock

This is a couple in love!  They were always stealing a little kiss, smiling at one another and sharing a laugh.  I know I’ve said it before, but I’m going to say it again.  I LOVE MY JOB!  It is so enjoyable to spend a day with people like Janet and Bruce.  You can’t help but be happy around them.

We were running out of time and we still had some pictures to get.  A quick decision sent us to the beach where Janet and Bruce will often hang out and enjoy a refreshment.  We set them up with couple of chairs and a couple of refreshments and took the next set of images.beach2beach1

After enjoying their refreshments and a little break in the chairs, Beaver had Bruce dip Janet and give her a big kiss.  When they stood back up Beaver asked Bruce to dip her again.  Bruce misunderstood and thought Beaver wanted him to give her an even bigger kiss!  Well, the first one was pretty passionate so we all had a chuckle at Bruce’s reaction to Beaver.  He was pretty confused!  He thought he did a pretty good job the first time!  Here’s Janet having a good laugh about it!beach5

Quite often the grooms are a little nervous in front of the camera, so Beaver will egg them on a little….”C’mon!  Kiss her like you mean it!”  Well, Bruce didn’t need any encouragement!beach6

Janet and Bruce, thank you so much for allowing bdf to be part of your big day.  I’m sure I speak for the whole team when I say we had a great time spending the day with you!  You are a wonderful couple and we wish you much happiness!  I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek and we look forward to seeing you at the reveal!

Everything Penny states above about these two is absolutely the truth – great couple.  Just to add (image wise) here is a couple from me……….

I would be the new bride. I just wanted to give cutto’s to the bdf team. We are in awe! My absolute favorite so far is the lake with our reflection, this took my breath away, and made co-workers cry.
